IF:Gathering? "IF" what?

IF: Gathering?  “IF” what?  The name caught my attention.  I was intrigued and so I went.  I was not disappointed.  Women of faith from all over the country and around the world gathered that weekend.  We came to be stretched and challenged.  To ask questions. We came to explore together what a more radical faith would look like, both individually and corporately.

The atmosphere was relaxed.  You could come and go as you liked.  The speakers were varied and came from all walks of life.  They were open and transparent, fellow strugglers and broken like me.  We were all in this together.  As they shared from God’s Word and their own life stories, you could sense the Holy Spirit was alive and active in our midst. I felt united with my sisters in Christ from around the world.

What IF together we could do more?  We women are powerful when we work together.  We have influence.  One challenge that has stayed with me is “if we combine the zeal and passion of the younger generation with the resources of middle-aged women (ME!) and the wisdom of the older women, we would make a huge impact in advancing the Kingdom of Christ all over the world.”  How can I, with my resources, partner with my younger sisters in Christ who have enthusiasm and passion and both of us learn from the wisdom and life experiences of the older women of faith? I left for home pondering that question, already anticipating the next IF:Gathering.  And here it is!  Will you join me?
